At the Motivation Lab, the mission is to move you forward turning the "A-ha" moments you have in the office into sustained change in your life. This happens through clarifying sticking points, identifying and dialing in your strengths and talents, and finding solutions that work for you.


We offer counseling for: kids, adolescents, adults, families, marriage and relationships


The Process: From day one, we’ll begin uncovering the deep patterns that keep you stuck. This includes:

  • The entrenched beliefs that quietly sabotage your confidence  
  • The thoughts, rules and assumptions that shape how you show up in life  
  • The negative behaviors and habits that you repeat, even when you know better  

You’ll leave the very first session with practical tools you can use right away. Because while counseling is a process, you don’t have to wait to feel better.


How It Works: Sessions are 50 minutes and typically once a week. As you make progress, we can taper to biweekly or as-needed support—this is your journey, and we’ll adjust the rhythm to match your growth.


This is not a one-size-fits-all model, I work collaboratively with my clients based on their needs and preferences to build change. Whether you’re looking for traditional therapy, high-level life coaching, or something in between, the process is tailor fitted to fit your needs and preferences.


I draw from a mix of evidence based approaches, including:  

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)  
  • Positive Psychology  
  • Sport & Performance Psychology  
  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for resolving trauma and stuck emotional patterns

While anxiety often involves worrying about the future, depression causes the mind to dwell on the past, focusing on what could have been done differently. This negative focus drags bad feelings into the present.

Eye Movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR)for trauma resolution

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a therapeutic treatment designed to use the brain’s adaptive information processing mechanism to resolve unresolved past issues. Life's adverse experiences leave fragments that remain live, active, and unprocessed in our brains. These fragments include sights, sounds, body sensations, feelings, and beliefs from the original experience, which filter our current experiences in negative ways. Much of the distress we feel in the present results from triggering these unprocessed past hurts.

In addition to traditional counseling, we offer life coaching services. Life coaching helps people build the skills for success personal and professional success. We draw on cognitive behavioral processes, motivation theory, and sport and performance psychology to help our clients achieve their goals.


Life coaching differs from traditional therapy because it doesn't address the past, mental health, or psychological clinical needs. We offer sport psychology in San Antonio, at our office in Leon Springs. For sport psychology, we also frequently work in the field, coming to you where you practice and perform. We offer online sport psychology training as well, through our Telehealth platform, serving anyone in the US. We travel all over the country, providing services as well.
